Chief Executive, Liverpool City Council
Ged began his career in Local Government with Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council in Merseyside in 1983. He progressed through a range of posts in both Economic Development and Policy Support before his appointment as Director of Liverpool City Challenge and Head of Economic Development and European Affairs for Liverpool City Council. Ged was Chief Executive at Lancashire County Council from June 2008 until the end of January 2011 when he took up post in Liverpool. Ged has always retained an interest in Economic Development and Regeneration and will continue to enjoy these challenges together with the opportunity to reshape Liverpool City Council.
